Human Services encompasses professions within the medical, education, public service and behavioral health fields. Some of the jobs include chemical dependency counselors, psychiatric aides, health educators, residential treatment monitors, child protection workers, court advocates, case managers and crisis response workers. The wage range of an entry level human service worker is $11 - $18.
Human Services Career Technical Training (CTT) provides the following certication and credit options:
- 9 HUMSE college credits at the University of Alaska Community Technical College at $25 each, paid by the student
- Counselor Technician (CT) $165, paid by the student
- Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) $165, paid by the student
